My position as Vice-President entails working closely with senior leadership in providing support, advice and guidance to the entire committee in order to ensure a successful year, and the smooth running of a Society as a whole. I am looking forward to another exceptionally successful year.
My name is Ester-Maria Elze and I am this years President of the Queen Mary Commercial awareness society. As president I aim to secure the smooth running of every area of the society and the society as a whole. Working together with all committee members I aim to provide our members with constantly new and interesting events, competitions and networking occasions. With everything that we have planned and the hard work that the entire committee has put in up to this point I am sure we will have a successful year ahead of us.
My name is Dylan Patel and I am an Events Officer at QMCAS. My role is to participate in the planning of major events throughout the year. For the first time, the Events Team will be presenting Commercial Awareness Masterclasses, which I am heavily involved in creating and executing.
My name is Pia Pyrtek and I am this year’s secretary of QMCAS. My role involves keeping the membership base and email account up to date, booking rooms and taking meeting minutes. Besides being part of QMCAS I am the Vice President of our University Cheerleading Team and competing on their elite team at national level.
My name is Ana Maria Taluta. I am a second year law student and this year I am part of the events team of QMCAS. My main role involves organising events concerning various commercial topics with legal professionals and academia.
I’m a first year student on the English and European LLB course. As Liaison Officer, I am responsible for contacting law firms, chambers and businesses to arrange possible events and sponsorship. I am excited for what is looking to be a successful year!
As a Future Development Officer my role is to plan future events and talks for the society. The role also includes seeking sponsorship from various law firms around London and collaborating with different firms to create opportunities for the members of the society.
My name is Kajetan Sitko. I am a second year student of LLB Law and Politics at Queen Mary University of London. This academic term I am proudly representing the committee of QMCAS as an IT, Media and Communications Officer. My goal is to spread the interest in commercial awareness among students from our university, help to engage in negotiation-based competitions and diversify the opportunities to network with various city firms from both legal and business background.
My name is Laura Sanderson Gitsham and I am the Social Media Officer, my role is to maintain and update the society’s social media pages . I am an aspiring solicitor and am currently in my first year of studying Law and Politics.
