My name is Rebeka Mrzlikar and I am the President of the Queen Mary Commercial Awareness Society. Working together with all the committee members, I aim to provide our members with a variety of events and opportunities that will make a difference to their university lives. This year we have an exceptionally strong and motivated committee and I am looking forward to an extremely successful year ahead of us!
Kajetan Sitko: My name is Kajetan Sitko. This year, as a Vice-President of the Queen Mary Commercial Awareness Society, I am planning to expand the QMCAS’s activity beyond commercial aspects of law, and introduce us to a wider audience at our university. Alongside Rebeka Mrzlikar, the President, and eleven members of the Committee, I aim to organize new interesting events, connect students to employers from various industries and enahce their transferable skills.
Ana Maria Taluta: Ana Maria Taluta and I am the Head of Events for QMCAS this year. My main objective for this academic year is organising a variety of insightful events so that students can increade their awareness of current commercial issues as well as learning how to confidently articulate a personal opinion on them.
Louiza-Eleni Zygouraki: My name is Louiza-Eleni Zygouraki, and I am a 3rd year law student at QM. This year I will be the Marketing and Social Media Officer, responsible for any queries on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I will also be responsible for creating and promoting the events we hold as a society. I am looking forward to seeing you all there! This year our team is strong, so don’t miss out on our amazing events!
Ilinca Briciu: My name is Ilinca Briciu, and I am this year’s Liaison Officer within the Queen Mary Commercial Awareness Society. As Liaison Officer, my role is to facilitate a close working relationship between our Society and partner Law firms, chambers and businesses. This includes the responsibility of organising events in collaboration with our partners, as well as securing invaluable sponsorships. I look forward to being part of the Commercial Awareness Committee and, working alongside fellow committee members, ensuring a successful year for all.
Cristina Gutierrez: As the Secretary, I am in charge of assisting with the organisation of meetings and events, keeping track of the number of members who join us, and providing the committee with an up-to-date agenda of the upcoming events that the QMCAS organises.
Emmy Rupasinghe: My name is Emmy Rupasinghe. As Treasurer, I strive to put my money where my mouth is and manage all assets whilst being a key QMCAS asset. This academic year we’re going to splash the cash on exclusive events by securing funding internally and externally. You can’t buy commercial awareness but with our help you can at least buy a share of this knowledge.
Anaheeta Verma: My name is Anaheeta Verma and I am a First Year Law student at QMUL. As a part of the events team, I will look after the logistics of planning events. This year our main objective is to engage students from various streams. I am excited to be on the committee of the QMCAS, and I look forward to the year ahead!
Yosr Bahr-Al-Ulum: My name is Yosr Bahr-Al-Ulum and I am a first year Law student. Writing for the QMCAS weekly newsletter is one of my main obligations as Communications Director, where I report the top stories and updates in the politico-economic and legal world. Alongside global news, I keep people up to date about QMCAS events and employment opportunities in business and law firms.
Julika Schmidt: My name is Julika Schmidt and I am an Events Officer at QMCAS. My major focus will be organizing and planning the events throughout the year, making sure everything is well-prepared prior to each event. Other tasks include contacting guest speakers and booking rooms for all meetings and talks organized by the society.
Dana Drožina: I am Dana Drožina – your most amiable, gregarious and diligent event officer, who will try to organise as many unforgettable events as possible.
Adelina Popescu: My name is Adelina Popescu and I am a third-year Politics student. As Events Officer, I want to ensure every member gets to make the most out of our events, workshops and information evenings. My ambition as part of the QMCAS committee is to increase political understandings and its relation and importance to Commercial Awareness.
